Merry Jesus Birthday to me

Dear Friend,

So, I know you’re probably thinking: “Man, I really really REALLY love the Shit out of  that Erick guy. And I REALLY want to spend a bunch of money and give him some Jesus Bday presents… I could give him a wad of $100 bills, but what I’d really like to do is buy him something real nice. Like a book”.
Well, let me help you out! Here’s a link to the magical land that is my Amazon wish list:
My Amazon.com Wish List

Thanks so much! You truly are the best friend ever. We should go get drinks some time.

Your pal,

Erick

DAYTUM

I recently received an invite to a site called DAYTUM, and I think I’m hooked. It’s a data collecting site where you can keep track or just about any part of your daily life. Say, for example, your monthly burrito intake or your weekly beer consumption. Not only will Daytum help you keep track, it will build a pie chart too! Man, what a great way to procrastinate.
I really like the design of the thing. It’s very intuitive, simple and clean. Head on over there and request an invite: http://daytum.com/. And if you’re really bored, you can take a look at mine and marvel at the lack of variety in my life: http://daytum.com/erick

Misprint

I’ve been super homesick the past few days… Mainly because I miss my life and friends in Austin, but also because the city of Atlanta blows even more now that winter is starting to kick in.  So in classic sad bastard fashion, I start going down the list of the things I miss the most… among friends, bars, music, bbq and mexican food, I remembered Misprint. A pretty witty zine published sporadically by a group of real funny dudes and some hipster guy.  Give it a shot. It’s real funny.

Cardinals

If you live in Tulsa or near Tulsa or happen to be driving through or find yourself waking up there after a seven-week-long bender that may have started on the other end of the country but took a turn for the worse when you came across a one-eyed-man and a prostitute with a hook for a hand and decided that “sure, I’ll buy you guys a couple drinks” was a good idea and it happens to be October 10th… Then head on over the the Brady Theater and check out the Cardinals.
As you may or may not know, Cardinals is a NYC-based rock band whose members include the one and only Ryan Adams. They have a new album coming out and are touring the country in its support. Go on, get yourself a ticket and enjoy the rocking. Then when no one’s watching, snag one of these fancy posters off the wall. If anyone asks, tell them I designed it just for you.
